Importing Food from the EU to Ukraine: Where to Start

Demand for European food in Ukraine is steady: retail chains, HoReCa and marketplaces are looking for new producers. But successful import starts not with an order, but with answers to a few simple questions.
Step 1. Define the category and channel
Food, soft drinks, private label. Who is the product for: a retail chain, distributor, HoReCa or marketplace? The channel determines packaging, volume and price.
Step 2. Choose a producer
We select producers for your request from our base of 600+ European producers. We check the supplier and certificates and order samples.
Step 3. Agree the terms
Price, minimum order, delivery terms (Incoterms), payment terms. At this stage the real cost becomes visible. Before the start you see every component: purchase, logistics, customs clearance.
Step 4. Prepare the documents
Contract, invoices, packing lists, certificates. We do not issue certificates ourselves: we organise their preparation through specialised partners.
Step 5. Consolidation and delivery
If you order small volumes from different producers, we combine them into one shipment. Shipments to Ukraine run weekly, with a minimum of 1 pallet.
Common mistakes at the start
- Choosing a producer on price alone, without checking documents.
- Not calculating the cost before ordering.
- Ordering without samples.
