Importing Wine from Europe to Ukraine: How Turnkey Import Works

Опубліковано:

European wine sells well in Ukraine, but the path from the winery to your shelf has several stages: finding a producer, terms, purchasing, logistics, documents and delivery. Turnkey import lets one team handle these stages, so you don't have to assemble a chain of separate contractors.

What "turnkey" means

You choose the wine and the format of cooperation. We organise sourcing in the EU, logistics, customs clearance and delivery to your warehouse in Ukraine. We select and coordinate the warehouse, customs broker and carrier together with our partners.

Stages of import

  1. Producer search. We select producers for your request by region, style and price segment, drawing on our base of 600+ European producers of alcohol and food.
  2. Terms and samples. We clarify prices, minimum order and delivery terms, and arrange samples for tasting.
  3. Purchase and contract. We agree terms with the producer and prepare the contract, invoices and packing lists.
  4. Logistics and customs. We collect the cargo at an EU warehouse and, if needed, consolidate shipments from several producers. Customs clearance is organised with a partner broker. For alcohol we can also arrange excise stamp application when required.
  5. Delivery to Ukraine. Shipments run weekly, with a minimum of 1 pallet. The cargo arrives at your warehouse.

What you need

  • A clear idea of which wine and which channel you are targeting (retail chain, HoReCa, distribution, marketplace).
  • The appropriate licence for working with alcohol. Please check the current requirements before you start.
  • A budget and desired timing.

What it costs

There is no fixed price: exchange rates and logistics change. But before the start you see every cost component: purchase, logistics, customs clearance, excise. This helps you build in your margin. A separate cost calculation service is €50 per SKU.
